What is The Scratch?

The Scratch is a weekly news aggregator, summarizing global SDA news into an easy-to-consume format. We are dedicated to making Adventist news more accessible to you. Each week our team scours Adventist news, finding and compressing headlines into two sections: “Need to Know” and “Ought to Know.
Need to Know scratches the surface of the week’s main story, giving you everything you need to know in a fraction of the normal reading time. Within each article are links and resources to "deep dive" on topics - directing to their full-length articles.
Ought to Know covers other smaller stories in a paragraph-per-story rundown.

Each week’s brief is sent out via email on Friday and posted to the site on Sabbath morning.

What’s in it for YOU? You may have noticed we don’t spray ads all over our page. That’s intentional. We’d rather give you a dedicated space that everyone looks at weekly. Sure, you could spend $0.55 on postage, but that’s expensive! Or you could run Facebook ads…at $1.33 per U.S. click. Maybe even hire some freshmen to cold call people at dinnertime (who doesn’t love a good telemarketer mid-special K loaf?). We make it simple: 3 tiers of sponsorship, based on subscribers/average views, with a primetime spot on a verified list of Adventist readers.
